Meet Dr. Casino
Dr. Casino has been practicing Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery on Long Island for over 30 years and is well recognized as a leader in the field. His special interests include Maxillofacial trauma, dental implants, and corrective jaw surgery subjects he has lectured on at the national and international level.
Dr Casino graduated from Fordham University in 1974, with a degree in Biology, and attended SUNY School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook graduating with honors in 1978. Since that time, he has devoted a major portion of his career to teaching residents in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at University Medical center at Stony Brook and the Northport VA Medical Center. Dr Casino is Chief of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Stony Brook University Medical Center. Dr Casino assumes an academic appointment in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine where he is a Clinical Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr Casino has published articles and textbook chapters in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also served on the examining committee for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for 10 years, which is an extreme honor in the field. Dr Casino is also a member of the faculty of AO North America, which is responsible for training surgeons in the advanced treatment of Maxillofacial trauma.
Dr Casino lives in Setauket, New York with his wife Anita. They have 3 children: Andrew, Lauren and Gregory. They also have 4 grandchildren. He loves all sports, traveling and enjoying his grandchildren. He is an avid golfer and won his Club Championship in 2016.
