Meet Dr. Rodriguez

Rodriguez1Dr. Arlene Rodriguez Amador was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She obtained a BS degree from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1989. She then obtained a DDS degree from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1993.  She did a General Practice Residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York.

She returned to Puerto Rico and graduated from the Universidad Central del Caribe-Medical School in 1998 where she obtained her MD degree. She then completed an Oral & Maxillofacial Residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York in 2002.  She is board certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. She is a fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Rodriguez joined North Shore Implant & Oral Surgery Associates in 2005. She is also the Section Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Northport. She has staff appointments at Long Island Jewish Hospital, Huntington Hospital and Stony Brook University Hospital. She is married to Dr. William Schneider and lives in Huntington with their two children.
