Thomas Arcati, DMD

Dr. Arcati

December 1, 2018

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Where did the time go? It feels like my Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California was just several years ago. However, truth be told, in 1981. I was offered my first position in Monterey, California. Several years later, my young family in tow, we came back to New York to be near family. It was hard to leave sunny California but we never looked back. After a short stint as Chief of Oral Surgery at Long Island Jewish Hospital, I settled into a practice in Huntington. The rest is history.

They say if you love what you do it’s not work and I can say that was true for me. Blessed with great partners and great locations, North Shore Implant and Oral Surgery became synonymous with the office to go to for your Oral Surgery needs. As the practice expanded, Drs. Casino and Schneider and I eventually needed to add another exceptional Surgeon. Dr. Greg Bohle landed the position and brought his outstanding training to the team.

In addition to thoroughly enjoying my career, I also love time with grandchildren, outdoor sports, boating, a warmer winter climate and a long list of activities. So, it is with a heavy heart, I announce my retirement as of January 1.

In preparation for my departure, the practice diligently sought out one of the best new Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in the area. We are pleased to welcome Dr. David Sorbazo, recently trained at Kings County Medical Center, to our practice. He is a well-trained surgeon with a wonderful personality! You can feel very confident entrusting your patients in his care.

We have always appreciated the trust you have put in North Shore Implant and Oral Surgery in the past and I want you to be assured that your patients will continue to be treated by the most competent, highly trained Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons in the entire Metro Area with a state-of-the-art office. Our staff is well trained, friendly and efficient.

Thank you for putting your patients in my hands. It was my pleasure to work with you and treat your patients.

I hope to see you often around Huntington!

Warm Wishes and Regards,

Tom Arcati
